RAILROAD MUSEUM
9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
The California State Railroad Museum is the largest of its type west of the Mississippi.  It features nearly 40 locomotives and rail cars, railroad artwork, interactive exhibits, and more, telling the story of railroad life and the mammoth Transcontinental Railroad project.

Includes:  Railroad Museum; docent-led tour; and a stop in Old Town Sacramento.

SACRAMENTO HISTORY MUSEUM & OLD SACRAMENTO UNDERGROUND
10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Learn about Sacramento’s rich and diverse history as you explore the Museum’s galleries and interactive exhibits.  On the Underground Tour, you’ll explore the maze of streets under the historic city learning about the early days in Sacramento, and the necessity of the massive project to raise existing buildings off the ground.

SACRAMENTO CITY TOUR
11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
A great way to get an introduction to the city, its geography, and history, is to take a tour on a luxury motor coach with an experienced guide. Your tour will take you past many of Sacramento’s iconic sites, such as the State Capitol, Sutter’s Fort, the Crocker Museum, Golden 1 Center Arena, and breathtaking public art wall murals.

SAC BREW BIKE
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. & 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Pedaling (or not), around Sacramento’s lively Midtown district on a 15-passenger party bike, you’ll stop at three favorite local spots for craft beer, cocktails, wine, bites and more. Your guide steers and brakes, but you’re the engine as you pedal your way around. Or, if you prefer, you can let others do the pedaling!

Includes:  Tour ticket (drinks are on you).  The bike will pick you up at the hotel.

OLD SUGAR MILL
12:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Sacramento boasts a host of wineries in its immediate vicinity. One of the best spots to go is The Old Sugar Mill, which houses tasting rooms from several local wineries.    Besides wine tasting, you’ll tour Clarksburg Winery’s custom crush facility and learn about the wine-making process.

STATE CAPITOL WALKING TOUR
10 – 12 p.m. & 1 – 3:00 p.m.
The State Capitol serves as both a museum and the state’s working seat of government. Tour the building to see the seat of power of the nation’s largest state. Highlights include access to the California Legislature chambers, a stunning view of the inside of the dome, and the historical section of the building where rooms are preserved as they appeared in the 1850s.  If interested, send email to [email protected].  Provide  your name, Bouchercon 2020 registration number, a contact phone number, and your preferred time.
